SUMMARY: EAGLES MERE ASSOCIATION TRUSTEE MEETING In the interest of communication, transparency, and sharing information, the Trustees have approved posting a summary of Board meetings on our web site. For additional information, please refer to the Goals of the Association for 2008, also on the web site.
The primary purpose of the July meeting is to address operational procedures at the beach and any other pending issues. President Alan Zuckerman appointed a nominating committee for the Board of Trustees of the Association for 2008 consisting of: Larry Zutz, Chair; Diane Spahr, and Bob Zelten. The following will be placed in nomination for re-election to a second term: Amy Gardner and Robert Klarsch. New trustee nominations are: George David, Louis Leibowitz, and Alice Weeman. Guidelines for repairs and modification of private docks and boathouses were approved by the board. These guidelines adhere to the long established spirit of maintaining the natural and historic appearance of the Eagles Mere Lake and Preserve A Saturn Water Toy has been donated by Richard Johnson and placed in service. This is in place of the water slide previously being considered. Representatives of the Lake Association and Country Club met to review the agreement providing lake water for irrigation to the golf course. As a result of the information exchanged, the Property Committee of the Board will review the present agreement and make recommendations for modification of the agreement at a future Board meeting. The general consensus demonstrates that the club is being a good steward and is managing their allotment of water in a responsible and conservative manner. The EMAA has requested permission to store water carnival canoes and platforms on Association Property and to construct boat racks near the visitor’s dock for accommodation of Opti sail boats. The storage request was denied and the Opti racks request was referred to the Ad Hoc Committee on boat storage. Several ownership and temporary membership issues were brought from the Membership Committee. The board approved motion for these cottages to abide by the By-Laws of the Association and pay temporary membership fees when appropriate. Committee reports:
