SUMMARY:  EAGLES MERE ASSOCIATION TRUSTEE MEETING
MAY 24, 2008

In the interest of communication, transparency, and sharing information, the Trustees have approved posting a summary of Board meetings on our web site.  For additional information, please refer to the Goals of the Association for 2008, also on the web site.

 

The primary purpose of this meeting is to prepare for the opening of the Beach

• Ten full time  and three substitute lifeguards have been hired for 2008 Season
• The Beach and Lake Director will conduct lifeguard certification classes in July
• An inflatable water slide is in process of being purchased/installed for this season
• The Managers Job Description has been revised to provide direct responsibility for all EMA employees

 

Lake level:  The collar on the spillway has been installed earlier this year allowing for retention of more water with approximately 13,000,000 gallons above last year at this time.

Damaged boat line posts and dock piles were extracted through the ice this winter by staff allowing cost savings and expediency.  Seven were removed with three more to be extracted next winter

The beach boathouse dock replacement is complete along with the bridge stone retaining wall between the dock and the swim dock walkway

Lattice has been installed next to the volley ball court across the front to keep trash and volley balls from going under the lockers.

Kayak racks have been placed on the ends of the Edgemere boathouse and on the East end of the beach boat dock.  This is a change due to the need to repair the foundation piers at the Edgemere boathouse

Handicap parking behind the beach boat house is finished
