EAGLES MERE ASSOCIATION GOALS 2008

  • Develop guidelines for safety issues on the lake
    • Review need for additional lifeguards and desk personnel
    • Review salary schedules for staff
  • Evaluate/Secure additional equipment for Beach Shop to increase service to members
  • Continue general maintenance for Eagles Mere property
    • Tree removal
    • Boathouse deck replacement 
    • Steps at lockers
    • Lattice around lockers near volleyball court
    • Lighting/Security lights Beach and Edge mere
    • Retaining wall at beach boat dock
  • Purchase/Build-Re-build
    • Beach shop chairs
    • Water slides
    • Handicap parking near new lockers
    • Additional boats for rentals (canoes/kayaks)
    • Kayak racks along backside of Edge mere
    • Kayak racks along east side beach boathouse
    • Rebuild Hardly Able engine
    • Anchoring old swim dock
    • Replace positioning posts and boat line posts
    • Skirt platform at visitors dock
    • Evaluate/Purchase new bike racks
  • Evaluate/Review lake water use/levels
    • Develop updated guidelines as needed
  • Continue study of boat control/storage
  • Conclude parking issue with Eagles Mere Borough
  • Revise Temporary membership brochure
    • Fees for Temporary Membership remain same for 2008
    • Evaluate/Revise change in length of Season/Off Season
    • Review/Define processes for identifying and registering Temporary Members
  • Evaluate/expand list of private cottages that do not rent through realtors
  • Define/improve methods to assist controlling non members who “walk-on”  EMA property during the Season
  • Evaluate long term financial implications, potential problems for the Association
    • Continue refinement of revenue and expense categories for compatibility with actual revenue/expenses
    • Continue to increase cash reserves to equal one year of operating expenses
  • Increase information on web site
    • Update Association Members Guide
    • Expand Maps
    • Add institutional/historical knowledge of the Association to preserve same
  • Evaluate means to safely store EMA records
  • Evaluate methods of organization/indexation of EMA files
  • Develop a current explanation of “Lake Rights” and an archive of resource documents
